About Us

CLEBURNE was founded by a team of attorneys whose careers have spanned large law firms, midsized practices, and in-house legal departments. That range of experience gives us a perspective that goes beyond simply knowing the law—we understand how legal decisions affect the businesses, people, and bottom lines behind them.

We provide corporate legal services to small and medium-sized businesses across the full range of their legal needs. We serve as an ongoing legal resource for business owners and managers, handling everything from day-to-day questions and contract review to more significant transactions. Our work includes drafting and negotiating employment agreements, vendor and customer agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, partnership and operating agreements, commercial leases, and other business contracts, as well as providing general corporate and strategic legal counsel.

When a business is ready to pursue a transaction, we also advise clients through both buy-side and sell-side deals. We assist with acquisitions, dispositions, investments, and other strategic transactions, helping clients navigate the legal work from initial discussions and due diligence through negotiation, documentation, and closing. Whether a business needs a lawyer for a single agreement, support through a major transaction, or an ongoing legal partner who knows the business inside and out, we can provide as much or as little day-to-day counsel as needed.

Jack Stephens

Founder

Jack began his practice at one of the largest law firms in the world, before transitioning to in-house work for a hedge fund managing approximately $5 billion AUM. His practice has focused on corporate and commercial matters, including contract drafting and negotiation, transactions, and advising businesses on a range of legal and strategic issues.

This experience, paired with his MBA from the University of Florida has given him a broad understanding of the legal needs businesses face and the different ways legal counsel can support their operations.
